Thick but somewhat lacking in flavour

This Gravox product was just okay. It advertises itself as thick and whist I would agree, I didn't love the flavour associated with it. It just wasn't the best, and I feel I've had better tasting gravy. If it was served up, I'd have it, but it's not something I would see myself going out of my way to buy.

Not the best tasting gravy

I was excited to try this as I love chips with gravy. It’s easy to prepare, just cut open the pouch and microwave, then pour onto chips. It looked nice and thick, but it didn’t have a rich gravy flavour that I was expecting. It’s hard to describe the flavour, it had a strange taste, almost like the plastic from the pouch had affected the flavour and it didn’t taste like the gravox powder I would normally buy for a roast. I wouldn’t buy this again.

Perfect consistency

Love this with fries and wedges and a bit of pot set yogurt. Love the consistency of the sweetness and savory

Maybe for the kids?

In fairness, I'm not big on gravy mixes to begin with but thought with crunchy chips this might work. Sadly even with the salty chips it was still a bit bland for me. My kids will probably love it though

Excellent Chip Gravy

It is a convenient, its a ready-to-serve gravy designed to complement hot chips and other dishes. This rich and thick gravy is also 99% fat-free and contains no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives, or added MSG. For me it could also suitable for pairing with barbecued meats, roast potatoes, and sweet potato fries. It has great taste, I highly recommend this chip gravy.

Did it really taste like gravy?

I love gravy and I love chips, but this gravy did not compliment the chips at all! Instructions were clear and quick to cook, however it had a weird and unpleasant taste. I would not buy this again.

Weird taste

Wasn't impressed with this gravy. Left a funky taste in your mouth. It's a shame as gravox gravies are usually beautiful. This is definetly a convenient way to buy it if you are feeling a bit lazy or not near a kettle. If you like a lot of gravy on your chips like me you would only have enough for maybe 2 people. Sorry about my old baking tray.

Not for me

Ive actually tried this a few times because I like to give products more than one chance. I absolutely love the gravox brand and all their other products but this one definitely disappoints. I would prefer to just make the traditional gravox up for my chips as this had a funny unpleasant taste.
